Nozbe Personal: Get tasks done App Reviews

Dont bother

I spent the time to enter in my tasks and get a feel for the product. I had a pretty good list and it was helping me get things done. Then I hit the a button while exploring the app and lost all my task and notes. Dont bother getting this. Waste of time and effort.

Glorified Task List

An overly-complicated Evernote. Only its limited to task lists. No progress bars. May be good for daily team tasks, but there are other less time consuming ways of collaborating with office mates about projects and their progressions.

Desktop version does not work if you sync. Stick to Online

App continues to hang up and get stuck while syncing. Very frustrating. Going back to the web/online version. I need to stay syncd between iPad, iPhone and Desktop. I am a new user, so I feel I have wasted set up time trying to get desktop to work. Time wasted.

This app is terrible !

I downloaded this app as well as the iphone app. I spent hours loading projects and tasks. I was trying to delete a task in a project and the interface is not obvious how to delete a single task since you cannot "highlight" a task without it being "checked" as done. When I selcted the delete button, it deleted the entire project !!! I thought, that wasnt the end of the world. I thought I would be able to go backto the "trash" and recover the project. But to my dismay, I found there was no "trash" folder anywhere. I lost the project and tasks for ever. The other big missing feature is the ability to export all my tasks to a list. You can only print them. No Export. I would not recommend this app.

Don’t Know what it is but is is not Project Management

This was my second try at Nozbe––it has a lot of great features––but it lack subtasks––therefore it is impossible to do Work Breakdown Sturcture without which project planning, implmentation, and control become very difficult.

It’s Ok but not great

This is a better value than SG Project Pro 5, or Firetask, but is a bit too simple. Can’t organize projects to reflect work flow.

WAY to Expensive

The full version (which you will need to do anything remotely complicated) costs over $100 per year! Even the “money saving plan” is $96 per year. Over th course of 10 years they expect you to pay $1000 for this simple task list. Its not worth even CLOSE to that.

best task manager / to do list out there

I’ve used every single task manager out there and Nozbe is by far the best. It doesn’t do any one thing that’s unheard of for a task manager, but it does it all, and does it perfectly. Here’s why I love it: 1. I can put all my tasks into different categories. 2. I can assign tasks due dates and view only tasks due on a particular date. This way my list isn’t cluttered with tasks due on different days. 3. I can use contexts such as “Phone” or “Computer.” This way I can filter even more by vewing to see only “Phone” and get all my calls for the day out of the way THEN filter to see only “Computer” and get all my computer paperwork out of the way. Makes me more effective in completing tasks. 4. The comments section can be used to write notes or even add subtasks. 5. I can sync all my tasks with my Google Calendar, and in my Google Calendar you even see a checkmark for the tasks that are completed. 6. I can star items that are labeled as “Next Actions” so I know what my next poins of focus are. Sorry if my typing is hard to read, typed kind of fast. By the way, I have OCD and I can’t stick with one task manager for too long, they never live up to my expectations. But the free version of Nozbe works perfectly for me.

Great GTD App

I have tried a variety of GTD applications. As an automation professional, I know that if the tool isn’t friendly, people won’t use it. Nozbe is the first app that actually fits into my daily workflow. It is worth every penny I pay for it. Further, subscribe to Michael’s blog and videos. He offers a ton of support and ideas. Plus his Productive! magazine adds even more value. I try and discard applications that don’t work for me. This one is a keeper.

This is the best Nozbe yet.

I have been using Nozbe since the very first version. I have carefully considered everything else on the market, Asana, Omnifocus, Trello, Things, Remember the Milk—you name it. But I am glad I stuck with Nozbe. This is by far and away the best Nozbe ever. It works the way I work. The interface is fast, elegant, and intuitive. The integration with Evernote is a game-changer. My only complaint (and it’s a small one) is that it needs more keyboard shortcuts. Still, I HIGHLY recommend it!

The best task manager I’ve found - Fast, Easy, Thorough!

Nozbe is an excellent task and project application. I’ve used a number of them (RTM, ToDo Cloud, Reminders, ad nauseum) because I was frustrated with either the interface, backups, multiple device support, or crashes. Nozbe is smooth and seamless. Backups happen instantaneously. Changes are available on multiple devices within seconds. Support is outstanding. When I’ve had burps (only one in the last year), a support team member reached out via email and stuck with me until the issue was resolved. I trust my commitments to Nozbe - and it’s never let me down.

I wish I didn’t update

The web app is still good, but the MAC app is a pretty big step down. I’m unable to drag TO DOs to their contexts, etc. Rats….such a great service. Love the web app, but need it when I’m offline.

It’s decent

Overall Nozbe features a pretty good workflow and the fact that there are numerous ways to get your tasks into the system and attach files give it some nice brownie points. However, I find it extremely buggy across all devices and systems. It’s always been that way for me through multiple versions. It’s frustrating and breaks the flow. Also, the Mac app lacks any real and powerful shortcuts which is also a deal breaker. Oh, and it’s expensive. It should also be known that Michael Hyatt is always talking up Nozbe as his preferred system, so much so, that he MUST be on their payroll. Try the free version, you may like it, it’s good once you get past the glitches, etc.

Immediately turned off by requiring email and a password

On Michael Hyatt’s recommendation, I decided to try the Mac App version, that it was free and Nozbe makes money by providing cloud services linking the various versions. Fair enough. I downloaded the Mac App. When I started it up, all I saw was two blanks - email and password. That’s a deal killer for me, when a locally installed app can’t (won’t) do ANYTHING until the company gets their grubby paws on my email address. Deleted it, rated it 1 star, won’t ever give it another chance. Get a CLUE, folks!

Amazing Tool

Keep coming back to Nozbe. It’s the best.

Everything I needed (watch the 15 min video)

Not only is Nozbe a well-made app, it has a very responsive team behind it. Three words, however: Watch The Videos. At the Nozbe site there is a page of support videos. At least 70% of the negative comments are either out of date (because Nozbe used the recommendations to improve the app) or written by people who neglected to watch the free videos. Chances are, the app does what you need it to do. If not, email the team. From inside the app. Easiest. Complex. App. Ever.

By Far the Best Task Manager

I have been using Nozbe as a personal and team tool for a couple of years now. It is by far the best way to organize and share tasks with associates, prioritize the day, and keep track of everything that “used to be” in my head. In conjunction with the “Getting Things Done” philosophy, this tool will help you master your projects and tasks and help you communicate back and forth with your team about everything you need to get done in an organization. The team at Nozbe is very responsive to all issues or enhancements I have asked for as well. They are constantly updating and upgrading this tool to become more useful for me. Totally worth whatever you need to pay for it.

Great app, but subscription price is high

I actually like the functionality of this app better than omnifocus - so on functionality I would give this app a 5 star rating! It works perfectly and allows you to have multiple tags/contexts for a particular action, which I love. Omnifocus won’t allow you that functionality. However, I can’t stomache the annual subscritpion price. That is the only reason I am not using Nozbe any longer. But there is no question that Nozbe has all the functionality you could want for a good GTD system, even a slight edge over Omnifocus in my mind, but the monthly subscription is what kept me away. Thanks

Your Only Downloading a free trial

The description in my opinion is VERY deceiving. It only tells you of in-app purchasing but DOESN’T tell you that this download is only a free trial good for 1 month. After that, you have to purchase for $4.99 per month. I only figured this out by going into my account settings. From a usability standpoint, it looks like a great app to use. It was easy to create new tasks, especially with the addition of the ability to add a new one from the task bar with one click. Had I known this was just a free trial, I would have never downloaded and given my email address to this supposed company. If I could rate zero stars, I would.

Nozbe is great!
